








ELIGIBILITY
Please review the requirements below to determine if your project is a good fit for SEE's sponsorship.
The criteria in this section are minimum requirements for a project to be considered a 501(c)(3) organization:
- Project activities must be charitable in purpose
- Project must be organized and operated exclusively for purposes set forth
- No earnings may inure to any private shareholder or individual
- There can be no attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities
- Projects cannot participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates
- The organization must not be organized or operated for the benefit of private interests

If you feel your project fits the above requirements, please now review SEE's internal criteria:
- Project must have one allocated director that will uphold all communication, regular access to telephone and
email is mandatory
- Project must have a clear and concise mission that directly relates to social and ecological progress
- If your project already has 501(c)(3) status, it must be made dormant while under SEE's sponsorship
- Activities of the project cannot serve a commercial business
- Project cannot be internationally based
- Activities of the project must not be litigious in nature
If your project fails to comply with any of the items listed above, it is ineligible to become sponsored by SEE.
