SAN FRANCISCO MINI-GRANTS
Mini-Grants Available for Business Recycling, Composting and Waste Reduction
Maybe your business throws away a lot of recyclable material such as paper, cardboard, bottles or cans because there’
s no more room to store them for recycling. But if you had a dedicated compactor or baler, you could recycle twice as
much without needing more space.
Or maybe your restaurant could compost dinner leftovers if you had a washer for the carts you would need for daily
collection.
Possibly your commercial building’s tenants would join together in a big recycling effort if you could afford a targeted
education program.
Or maybe you want to switch to buying recycled products but are wary of price increases.
All of these possibilities and more could turn a small investment into big results that benefit San Francisco’s
environment.
For companies that need help making that small investment, Social and Environmental Entrepreneurs (SEE), with
funding assistance from SF Environment, is offering one-time, quick turnaround grants ranging from $1,000 to
$10,000.
Applications are welcome at any time but funds are limited, so early requests are encouraged. Grants will be awarded
on a first come, first served basis.
